Data Engineer - Subject Matter Expert

Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong Python and cloud expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in data exploitation, visualization, and programming across multiple environments.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Expertise in multiple programming languages including Java/J2EE, C, C , SQL, JavaScript, PHP, and ECL
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and cloud infrastructure
• Experience creating comprehensive technical documentation for security, architecture, and implementation guides
• Strong understanding of database methodologies, including advanced SQL querying and Elasticsearch
• Data analytics capabilities, including detailed analysis and metric generation to support system users
• Proven experience with data visualization tools and validation routines
• Demonstrated ability to support and monitor system processes and configurations

Technical Expertise:

• Hands-on experience with commercial data exploitation and visualization tools (e.g., MS Excel, Tableau)
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages, with specific experience in HPCC-ECL, SQL, Java, Linux, and Python
• Skilled in implementing and adjusting data processing and ETL workflows in MySQL databases and Pentaho

Highly Desired Qualifications:

• Experience supporting technical processing of vetting requests for analytical comparison
• Knowledge of diverse computing platforms (desktop, mobile, IoT) in clustered computing environments
• Big data processing experience supporting screening and vetting missions
• Specialized knowledge of HPCC-ECL
• Experience building and maintaining automated data processes in MySQL and Pentaho workflows
• Advanced data visualization and validation capabilities for large-scale information systems
• Experience coordinating screening and vetting entity resolution across project teams
