As a key member of our team, you will assist in the daily operations of our nursery, ensuring the health and well-being of our plants and providing exceptional service to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the maintenance and care of perennial plants, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, and transplanting
- Provide excellent service by assisting customers in selecting and caring for their plants
- Maintain a neat and organized nursery, ensuring that plants are displayed attractively and appropriately labeled
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking new plant shipments
- Collaborate with team members to effectively communicate and execute daily tasks and special projects
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a nursery or garden center is preferred, but not required
- Positive and friendly attitude with a genuine passion for plants and horticulture
- Strong knowledge of perennial plants and their care requirements
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Physical stamina to handle repetitive tasks, lift heavy objects, work outdoors and in various weather conditions
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast paced work environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
