Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality sonographic examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging techniques, along with excellent patient care skills. The Sonographer will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging results while providing a supportive environment for patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients, including abdominal, pelvic and small parts studies.
- Utilize sonography equipment effectively to capture high-quality images for interpretation by physicians.
- Maintain patient comfort and safety during procedures while ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Communicate clearly with patients regarding the procedures, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed records of all examinations performed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques to enhance diagnostic capabilities.
Experience
- Proven experience in sonography or medical imaging is preferred, with a strong emphasis on patient care and diagnostic radiology.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for accurate image interpretation.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical setting.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Previous experience in Ob/Gyn sonography is a plus but not mandatory.
