As a Sushi Chef & Helper, you will assist in food preparation and ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen. Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and assembling dishes
- Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistent quality
- Clean and sanitize Sushi bar equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and notify supervisor when items need to be restocked
- Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations
- Collaborate with other staff to ensure efficient workflow
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a sushi restaurant
- Knowledge of basic food handling and preparation techniques
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
