The IT Manager – Applications & PM oversees the software development lifecycle, leads a team of developers, and ensures successful project delivery. This role combines technical expertise with leadership to develop scalable and efficient software solutions aligned with JO’s business objectives. Additionally, the position plays a key role in project management and PMO functions, ensuring strategic alignment, governance, and execution of technology initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
Software Development & Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Manage the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation and maintenance.
- Provide performance feedback and support professional growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends and recommend process improvements.
- Address technical challenges and ensure successful project completion.
Project Management & PMO Responsibilities
Oversee project execution, ensuring scope, timeline, and budget adherence.Implement and enforce project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall).Develop and maintain project roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables.Monitor key project performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics.Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.Facilitate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership.Lead project status meetings and report progress to stakeholders.Document project plans, processes, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.Data Management, Analytics & Business Intelligence
Ensure data governance, quality, security, and compliance.Develop data-driven solutions to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.Manage data integration and optimize database performance (Microsoft SQL Server).Utilize analytics and reporting tools to develop real-time dashboards and insights.Support AI, automation, and machine learning initiatives where applicable.Technology Governance & Process Optimization
Establish and enforce best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.Define and implement IT governance policies for security, compliance, and efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.Act as a liaison between technical teams and other departments.Ensure effective resource allocation and utilization.Perform additional duties as assigned.Job Requirements :
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).10 years of software development or related experience, with prior managerial experience preferred.Strong project management experience, including multiple initiatives and cross-functional team collaboration.Experience leading PMO functions, including governance, reporting, and risk management.Technical & Project Management Skills
Proficiency in relevant programming languages and frameworks (e.g., C#, VB.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Angular).Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project).Strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset.Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Physical Demands :
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to machinery.Frequent sitting, keyboarding, speaking, and visual / hearing activities.Occasional driving, standing, walking, lifting (up to 30 lbs.), reaching, and stooping.Occasional travel to company locations or vendor sites may be required.Benefits Overview :
