Job Summary:
JAR Systems is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate and timely fulfillment of sales and service orders. This role involves receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products, along with light assembly, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and mechanical sub-assemblies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse operations, strong computer skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical picking, packing, and staging of orders for accurate shipment.
- Coordinate with carriers for timely pickups and prepare bills of lading and export documentation.
- Operate sit-down forklifts and reach trucks, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Receive, inspect, and document inbound shipments, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
- Assemble customer orders, palletize and shrink-wrap products, and relocate them for shipping.
- Perform light assembly, rework, and repackaging of products, including carts/stations and sub-assemblies.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair returned electronic and mechanical sub-assemblies.
- Certify and maintain compliance for shipping Class 9 lithium batteries and other hazardous materials.
- Record and manage inventory data using ERP, WMS, and Microsoft Office software.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, optimizing space utilization.
- Ensure all materials are labeled, accounted for, and properly stored.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in inventory software, ERP systems (SAP preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Forklift certification and experience operating sit-down forklifts and reach trucks.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable with physical demands, including standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects (up to 75-100 lbs).
- High school diploma or GED required; additional training or certifications preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Refurbishment and repair of low-voltage sub-components (3 years).
- Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution facility (3 years).
