POSITION SUMMARY
Manage all aspects of logistics client relationship and customer service policy commitments for our products. Manage the following aspects of logistics including, but not limited to logistics systems management, Supplier relationship management, Client relationship management, Supply Chain Partner relationship management, logistics contracting, transportation daily flow services, freight audit/payment and logistics projects which achieve service level commitments while minimizing costs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Manage your team’s daily operations – ready to ship, planning, shipment tendering, consolidation, delivery receipt, and freight audit and payment exceptions.
- Manage efficient product flow and strategies via exceptions management to meet product demand.
- Manage the forecast of upcoming volume Carrier needs and commitments.
- Assist your operations team with shipment management as needed
- Lead root cause analysis for ongoing issues with shipment creation and invoice processing
- Create and maintain user operating guidelines, training and performance
- Perform additional duties as requested
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Tender loads to carriers and ensure on-time delivery of product
· Effectively communicate with various customers such as procurement, manufacturing, suppliers, shipping & receiving, carriers
· Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others
· Tender freight orders to preferred company carriers
· Monitor inbound TMS systems to ensure carrier acceptance and rating of shipments
· Assist Transportation Supervisor in procuring freight, identifying transportation requirements and making carrier selection
· Audit freight payment process for accuracy and timeliness through current freight payment systems
· Prepare financial performance reports weekly, at period end and quarter close related to managed freight
· Plan and schedule fleet pickups at vendor locations
· Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Education/ Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, business management, or related field and/ or 2 years of experience as a transportation manager in a similar industry.
- Solid knowledge of the transportation and logistics.
- Critical thinking skills and knowledge of analytics.
- Ability to work well with team members and navigate stressful situations.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Good conflict resolution skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, twist, walk, must be able to use various hand tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance on elevated surfaces; and stoop, kneel, squat, crouch or crawl. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Constant and continual medium to heavy manual, physical labor is required for this position
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as work boots, hard hats, work gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection. This is an indoor/outdoor work environment: Exposure to sun, heat, humidity, cold, wind, light rain, sand, and dust.
