Shop Foreman - Dispatcher
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to join our team as a Shop Foreman - Dispatcher. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior level management, with a proven track record of success in a similar role within the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the shop, including scheduling and dispatching of technicians and mechanics
- Coordinate with the Parts department and vendors to ensure timely and efficient service delivery
- Provide leadership and guidance to the shop team, including training and mentoring junior staff
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise in the shop, including equipment malfunctions and customer complaints
- Keep accurate records of all work orders, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve shop efficiency and productivity
- 5 years of experience in a senior level management role within the automotive or heavy equipment industry
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Extensive knowledge of shop operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and inventory management
- Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or management training is a plus
