Resposibilities
- Picks up litter, empty bottles, leaves, tree and shrub trimmings; sweep walkways and common areas
- Sweeps, mops, waxes and polishes floors; wash walls
- Dusts desks, windowsills, banisters, cabinets and other ledges/surfaces
- Cleans restrooms, places orders and replenishes supplies; unstops sinks and toilets and reports the need for repairs.
- Cleaning spills, broken glass and other messes up as quickly as possible
- Make minor maintenance repairs and replace light bulbs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This is a physical position that requires the ability to stand and walk for a minimum of seven (7) hours per day with constant bending at the waist, stooping, reaching and/or pushing/pulling motions as the assignment requires.
- Requires exerting up to sixty (60) pounds of force on a frequent basis, lifting up to seventy (70) pounds on an occasional daily basis and carrying up to forty (40) pounds on an occasional daily basis; requires the ability to push a cart weighing up to 100 pounds.
- Requires occasional exposure to stepping stool heights, external staircases, catwalks, etc.
- Requires use/exposure to cleaning chemicals such as chlorine, soap, low-acidity cleansers (carpet/upholstery cleaners), disinfectants, polishes, etc.
- The job risks exposure to hot/cold temperatures, adverse weather, wet/humid conditions, toxic fumes, noxious odors, pathogens, dust and pollen.
- Requires normal visual acuity, field of vision, hearing, speaking, color perception, sense of smell, depth perception and texture perception.
- Requires use of proper personal protective equipment at all times as defined by assignment to include but not limited to gloves, masks, respirators, hard hats, tie-back suits, safety glasses and footwear.
