Parts Counter Person Role
This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and retail sales at an auto parts store.
You will be working in a dynamic environment where you can make a real difference in people's lives, by providing them with the right parts they need to keep their vehicles running smoothly.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire parts sales process from start to finish, ensuring that customers receive accurate and timely information about their orders.
- Work closely with the parts manager to locate any parts not in stock, and communicate effectively with customers on the status of their orders.
- Process special order part requests for customers, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Communicate effectively with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner, always striving to exceed expectations.
- FOLLOW ALL COMPANY SAFETY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES AT ALL TIMES, as well as federal, state, and local regulations applicable to the industry.
Requirements:
- Prior experience at a Ford dealership is highly desirable.
- Ability to identify problems quickly and think critically to resolve them.
- Demonstrated knowledge of automobiles and their systems.
- Effective analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills, with the ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
- Able to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with a positive and friendly attitude.
- BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS, including proficiency in software applications relevant to the role.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in auto parts sales being highly beneficial.
- Able to work independently, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- A detail-oriented individual with a professional appearance and a strong work ethic.
