Key Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and have at least one year of experience in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with identified first-year students throughout their first year on campus, providing holistic support and guidance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with identified students, encouraging them to continue long-term academic coaching into the second semester and second year when necessary.
- Initiate short-term academic coaching as needed throughout the identified students academic career.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of Orientation, ensuring a smooth transition for new students.
- Mentor students on the career exploration process, helping them discover and reflect on their personal skills, values, and interests.
