Position Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Sales Account Manager to manage and grow commercial accounts, primarily Energy Savings Companies, in the Chicago Metro area. This is an outside sales role, requiring a mix of in-person customer visits and work from home.
While the role allows for flexibility, candidates must be comfortable working independently, balancing customer meetings throughout Chicagoland, and managing their accounts remotely. The Sales Account Manager is welcome to visit our office as needed but typically only needs to come in a few times per month.
A successful candidate will have a background in electrical or lighting sales, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to develop strategic account plans that drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Outside sales role: Meet with customers in person across the Chicago Metro area while also managing accounts from home.
Develop and maintain relationships with Energy Savings Companies and other commercial accounts.
Drive sales growth through strategic account management and business development efforts.
Create and execute account plans to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
Use CRM tools to track interactions, manage sales pipelines, and report on progress.
Address customer needs and provide effective solutions for their lighting projects.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and support for customers.
Qualifications & Experience
Required: Experience in electrical or lighting sales.
Strong B2B sales, outside sales, and account management skills.
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans.
Proficiency in using a CRM system for managing accounts and tracking sales activities.
Self-motivated with the ability to balance remote work and customer in-person visits.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
Compensation & Benefits

Expected earnings for strong performers: $120K-$160K per year.
