Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hairstylist to join our dynamic team at JAS. As an independent professional renting a chair within our salon, you will have the freedom to manage your own clientele and schedule while benefiting from a collaborative and supportive environment. Chair rental fees range from $300 to $800 per week, depending on your experience.
Duties
- Providing professional hair styling services, including but not limited to men's and women's haircuts, color, blowouts, and hair extensions
- Maintaining a clean and sanitized work area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Managing your own appointment scheduling and client communications
- Promoting and upselling salon products and services to enhance client satisfaction and personal revenue
Skills and Qualifications
- Valid Virginia cosmetology license issued by the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation
- Proficiency in hair cutting, coloring, blow-drying, and applying hair extensions
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own business operations within the salon
- Knowledge of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
Additional Information
- This position is for chair rental only; stylists will operate as independent contractors
- Chair rental includes access to salon facilities and amenities
- Stylists are responsible for their own supplies and client scheduling
