Primary Position Description
The Residential Program Specialist is responsible for providing quality direct service and case management to women in the Jasmine Road program. They provide emotional, organizational, and practical support to program participants to assist them in achieving their goals.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Case management and care plan execution for up to 6 residents, including one-on-one meetings
- Scheduling and coordination of caseload individual appointments, plus accurate ongoing creation of both internal house calendar and resident-facing house schedule
- Adherence to program policies and procedures
- Timely and accurate documentation of group and individual resident services in Apricot case management software system
- Therapeutic program group facilitation
- Provision of transportation services for individual caseload appointments and group programming activities
- Collaboration with residential team to ensure excellence in service delivery, address challenges, and contribute to continuous program improvement
- Crisis management
Competencies
- Proven ability to connect with individuals who have experienced substance use and/or sexual trauma
- At least 5 years experience in social work and/or peer support
- Educational experience with human services, social work, or psychology
- If LEE (lived experience expert), at least 3 continuous years of abstinence from drugs and alcohol
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- High emotional intelligence
- Working knowledge of best practices for trauma-informed care
- Strong case management skills, including organization, resource navigation, attention to detail, and documentation
- Defined boundaries and a high level of comfort with difficult conversations
- Ability to prosper and thrive in high-energy work environment
- Ability to work flexible hours and some weekends if needed
The mission of Jasmine Road and Jasmine Kitchen is to provide a path to healing and employment for women survivors of sex trafficking, prostitution, and addiction. Jasmine Road is modeled after the very successful Thistle Farms non-profit in Nashville, TN. The Greenville affiliate was incorporated in 2016 as a result of a partnership between Christ Church Episcopal, Triune Mercy Center and Bon Secours, St. Francis Health System. When Jasmine Road’s first safe house opened its doors in May 2018 offering a transformative two-year residential program with an innovative social enterprise component, the first of its kind in Greenville.
Opening in 2020, Jasmine Kitchen is part of an innovative Social Enterprise Program that supports the mission of Jasmine Road by providing jobs in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for the residents and graduates of the two-year residential program. Women may choose to work at the restaurant or employment by making candles and jewelry to earn money, develop new skills, learn entrepreneurship, and build their resumes. The social enterprise businesses have a primary emphasis on social impact in our community at large while helping to fund operations of the non-profit organization.
