BOH Team Member
Jasmine Thai and Sushi Bar is looking for versatile and reliable BOH team members who can contribute to our kitchen operations. BOH team members start out with dishwashing responsibilities and have the opportunity to grow and take on more prep and cooking tasks as they become acclimated in the kitchen. Responsibilities:
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchenware.
- Maintain a clean kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces.
- Empty trash and ensure proper disposal of waste in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Assist with basic food prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and organizing ingredients.
- Provide support to cooks during busy times, including food preparation and cooking assistance.
- Maintain kitchen equipment and tools, ensuring everything is clean and functional.
- Organize and restock kitchen supplies, ensuring they are readily available when needed.
- Follow sanitation procedures and safety guidelines, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with team members and kitchen managers to ensure smooth operations.
- Help monitor ingredient stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role preferred.
- Willingness to learn and assist in both dishwashing and cooking tasks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
- Dependability and punctuality are essential.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in a hot, humid environment.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Prior experience with Asian cuisine is preferred but not required.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
