  • TITLE : MATERIAL CONTROL

    The Material Control position works alongside the production team to ensure they have what is needed for production, that production runs smoothly, and the production team is fully utilized. He / She will work with the management team to set and prioritize daily production and warehouse related tasks. Ensuring the Gold Standard is achieved for each and every batch produced and that all SQF Level II guidelines are followed to manufacture and store a safe quality product. In addition, the person fulfilling this role will fill customer orders, ship and receive materials, and keep the work area clean and safe.

    • Responsibilities include but not limited to;
    • Work with the Production Manager / Supervisor to plan and prioritize daily warehouse tasks and production.
    • Ensure that the production team has materials and equipment needed at their work site to achieve production goals for each shift.
    • Work with the Production Manager / Supervisor to ensure raw and packaging materials are adequate for the day to achieve production goals.
    • Work with the Production Manager / Supervisor to manage inventory of raw and packaging and compare current inventory with the production schedule to ensure adequate material for production plan / schedule.
    • Perform month end and year-end physical inventory count.
    • Follow written processes and procedures to ensure the quality and safety of our products.
    • Must follow First In First Out (FIFO) procedure when receiving, shipping and preparing materials for production.
    • Use computers and other office equipment to perform basic administrative tasks.
    • Ensuring proper documentation associated with tasks i.e. shipping / receiving documents, logs, bills of lading, etc.
    • Prepare customers orders and get them ready to ship out.
    • Create Packing lists, Will Call documents and communicate with customers.
    • Ensure correct and accuracy of the Planner for each customer.
    • Communicate all issues, problems, and ideas with the management team.
    • Work in a safe and professional manner.
    • Follow written processes and procedures to ensure the quality and safety of our products.
    • Use computers and other office equipment to perform basic administrative tasks.
    • Clearly communicate all issues, problems, and ideas with the management team.
    • Perform daily walk through of the production area / warehouse to check for cleanliness, organization, and potential problems.
    • Keep the production and warehouse area organized.
    • Reliably work in a safe and professional manner.
    • Maintain a clutter free and safe work environment.
    • Safely unload and load trucks by pallet jack, forklift or other equipment.
    • Perform daily equipment maintenance checklist.
    • Stop and report any unsafe conditions or actions to the management team.
    • Report all spills and equipment malfunctions to the management team.
    • Must load pallets by following the established load plans.
    • Work in a safe and professional manner.
    • Communicate clearly and professionally with the team and the customers.
    • Requirements include but not limited to;
    • Have a reliable car and a valid driver's license.
    • Have good organization skills.
    • Have good computer skills.
    • Have willingness to respond to changes and challenges to meet production timelines.
    • Must be able to work different shifts, weekends, overtime, as needed.
    • Must be able to lift 25 - 50 lbs repeatedly.
    • Must be able to climb 5-15’ vertical ladders.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Salary : $20 - $23
