This role is located onsite at our Headquarters facility in Jasper, Indiana. We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with extensive experience in Azure and .NET technologies to design, implement, and guide the architecture of our cloud and on-premises applications. This person will be a working member of our Architecture Guild, collaborating to ensure the technical vision for a system that promotes our larger JASPER vision of reliability, scalability, securability, and alignment with our business goals. Key Responsibilities:
Architecture Design
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure architectures for cloud-based and on-premises applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and translate them into architectural solutions.
- Strong collaboration within the Architecture Guild, reviewing both decisions and design proposals for architectural solutions.
- Development of functional prototypes for design validation and developer training.
- Ensure the architecture aligns with business goals and technology standards.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams on best practices, architectural patterns, and technologies.
- Monitor, mentor, and support the development teams, ensuring design specifications and development standards are being met. Providing training, prototyping, feedback, and direction were deemed necessary.
- Participate in both architectural and code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
Azure and .NET Expertise
- Leverage extensive experience with Azure services and .NET technologies to design and implement solutions.
- Optimize Azure resource usage for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Implement security best practices across Azure environments.
Integration and Hybrid Solutions
- Design and manage hybrid solutions integrating Azure cloud and on-premises environments.
- Implement and manage virtual networking (VNet) to ensure secure and efficient communication between cloud and on-premises applications.
CI/CD and DevOps
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate architecture solutions into CI/CD pipelines.
- Advocate for continuous integration, deployment, and delivery of best practices.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud architecture and .NET.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems, processes, and technologies.
- Drive the adoption of innovative technologies to enhance business outcomes.
Documentation and Communication
- Collaborate with the other Architecture Guild members on projects.
- Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation including, but not limited to, software development practices, standards, system design diagrams, etc.
- Effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders using verbal explanations, drawings, and diagrams.
Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; OR equivalent practical experience (prefer 5 years experience)
Experience
- Extensive experience as a Solutions Architect, with a strong focus on Azure and .NET technologies.
- Experience working within a development team, actively participating in hands-on coding.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure architectures.
- Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud solutions and virtual networking.

- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps, Containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with event-driven applications using queues, message brokers, and other related patterns.
- Familiarity with performance tuning of cloud applications.
- Knowledge of structured logging, observability, and monitoring tools.
- Experience with Azure networking, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups.
- Working knowledge of, but not limited to:
- C# (.NET / .NET Core / .NET Framework)
- Blazor (Web Assembly)
- MS SQL Server (SQL)
- CosmosDb (NoSQL)
- Messaging (Event Grid / Service Bus)

Salary : $90,000 - $110,000
