What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales- Agricultural Equipment position at Java Farm Supply, Inc?
Hours: Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm, Saturdays 8am-12pm. Seasonal demands can change expected work hours.
Reports to: Sales Manager
Key Responsibilities/ Expected results:
· Develop relationships with new customers and effectively serve current ones by determining customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific equipment
· Retain loyal customer relationships through excellent customer service
· Maintain current knowledge of brands, products and benefits of equipment, as well as competitors’ products
· Learn and apply new product knowledge to enhance sales and personal professionalism
· Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers in purchasing new or used products
· Present complex ideas and materials clearly to ensure customer understanding
· Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs to accomplish everyday job duties
· Communicate effectively and professionally to colleagues and customers
· Remain current on product and industry knowledge by attending sales meetings, vendor training, and/or reading trade journals
· Remain up to date on the latest agricultural trends and practices
· Maintain company vehicles and equipment as needed
· Complete other job-related tasks as needed
Qualification:
· To possess sales skills essential for position.
· Possess and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license with clean MVR
· Possess safe operating practices when using mechanical equipment
· Detail orientated
· To have basic to moderate computer skills (desktop/laptop) to complete responsibilities
