Baker | Production Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a part to full-time passionate and skilled Weekday Morning | Mid-Day Baker | Production Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have ability to work individually, have a strong background in food production and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Production Assistant, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality products that meet our standards for taste and presentation.

While this position does not work directly with the Guest, attention to detail is important. Opportunity for growth, production assistant manager to consummate with experience. Full-time health insurance, downtown parking pass and benefits package available.

Duties

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food handling and safety regulations are followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan and execute menu items for catering events and daily offerings.
• Decorate pastries creatively to enhance presentation for customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Strong skills in food production techniques, including baking, cooking, and pastry preparation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Proficiency with kitchen tools such as knives, mixers, ovens, and other baking equipment.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
• A passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes or improving existing ones.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to carry 15 and up to 40 pounds.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
