Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including equipment and workstations.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate the POS system for processing transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card transactions.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; communicate needs to management.
- Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere, promoting café products and specials.
Skills
- Experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in a café or retail environment.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and cash registers for efficient transaction processing.
- Strong understanding of retail math for accurate cash handling and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
