Job Title: DLP Analyst
Location: hybrid, Maplewood, MN
Duration: 7 months with possible extensions
The Impact You ll Make in this Role: As a Data Loss Prevention Analyst you will be responsible for helping manage and maintain the Data Loss Prevention environment and ensuring the policies and controls are protecting fingerprinted or sensitive data. You will work closely with team members to provide agent metrics, remediations, project tasks, and troubleshooting for level 3 escalations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Data Loss Prevention policy sets, agent configuration, and controls to prevent unwanted egress of data.
- Oversee the lifecycle of endpoint agents, including control testing and functionality.
- Refer DLP policy violations to appropriate investigative teams and support as applicable.
- Recommend and implement measures to identified risks for egress.
- Utilize Microsoft Information Protection for creation of labels and reporting.
- Schedule discovery scans of data as requested by Mergers and Acquisitions.
- Collaborate with IT and other security teams to ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to agent issues or preventative controls by providing level 3 support.
- Stay up-to-date with latest industry trends and advancements in Data and Information Protection capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related field.
- Proven experience managing DLP solutions like Forcepoint, Microsoft Purview, Zscaler, etc
- Experience with identifying, investigating, and responding to security incidents.
- Strong understanding of data loss prevention principles and mitigating controls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar.
- Familiarity with data classification and regulatory data types, ie..PCI, PII, PHII
