Jax Dirtworks is seeking an experienced Land Survey CAD Drafter to join our team in Northeast Florida. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D and a solid understanding of land surveying principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate as-built plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D based on field survey data
- Process and interpret survey data and field notes for input into AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Draft various types of surveys including as-built, boundary, and topographic surveys
- Generate CAD surface models and 3D terrain models
- Prepare construction staking data and point files for field crews
- Research land records and monument records to support survey projects
- Collaborate with Professional Land Surveyors and field staff to interpret project requirements
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a CAD drafter in land surveying
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with experience in land survey-specific software preferred
- Strong understanding of land surveying principles and practices
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and legal descriptions
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Associate's degree in drafting, land surveying, or related field preferred
