Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Private Investigator with credentials in Texas and Florida to join our team. This role requires someone with a sharp investigative mindset and the ability to balance professional responsibilities with unique, trust-based personal assignments for the company owner.

This role reports directly to the company owner. A background check and Non-Disclosure Agreement will be required upon hire. Candidates should be prepared for a blend of traditional investigative work and high-trust personal assignments in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations to locate heirs, beneficiaries, or claimants
• Research public records, databases, and legal documents related to unclaimed property
• Perform interviews, site visits, and field inquiries
• Prepare clear, detailed, and legally sound investigative reports
• Travel with the company owner as needed, including participation in personal activities (e.g., tuna fishing excursions)
• Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries
• Collaborate with legal and investigative team members while working independently

Requirements

• Valid Private Investigator licenses in Texas and Florida
• Minimum 5 years of investigative experience
• Bachelor's degree required
• Background in legal, private investigations, or probate court processes strongly preferred
• Willingness to travel nationwide on short notice
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
• Strong emotional intelligence, integrity, and discretion
• Self-starter with the ability to navigate unique interpersonal dynamics
• Physically able to travel frequently, walk on uneven surfaces (boats, docks, etc.), and board planes

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel frequently via air and ground transportation
• Comfortable walking on uneven surfaces such as boats, docks, and outdoor terrain
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time
• Willingness to work in various environments, including outdoor or marine settings
