What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fertilizer Bagger position at Jay-Mar, Inc.?
Jay-Mar, Inc., an agricultural supply company, seeks a full-time, seasonal bagger. Fertilizer is essential for farmers to grow the food necessary for an increasing population. Your job is to load the fertilizer truck, fill bags up to #50, seal bags of fertilizer, stack bags on a pallet, and wrap the pallet with plastic. Candidates must be able to lift #50 bags. Being able to drive a manual transmission tender truck is required. Forklift experience to unload and load the pallets of fertilizer on trailers and trucks is require. These people will also have to be able to work longer hours during the week and part-days on Saturdays as well. These long hours allow you to make money quickly. Any time worked longer than 40 hours during the work week counts as overtime and is paid out at time and a half. Every seasonal employee is eligible for additional incentives, such as a $1/hour bonus should their performance be satisfactory and stay until the end of the season.
