The Childcare Assistant Teacher assists in providing care for children between the ages of six weeks and twelve years in the childcare center for the guests and employees of Jay Peak Resort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following, other duties may be assigned)
- Follows all center based and preschool licensing requirements.
- Follows all the Center’s policies and procedures.
- Conducts opening and closing duties.
- Always supervises children and ensure safety.
- Displays the ability to communicate in a professional manner treating staff, children, and families with dignity, respect, and a friendly matter.
- Actively engages children in reading, games, creative play, painting, drawing, songs, and similar activities.
- Greets families, stores belongings and ensures they are labeled.
- Assists in developmentally age-appropriate curriculum.
- Uses positive guidance and behavioral management.
- Supports transition times.
- Manages diapering and toileting.
- Serves meals and snacks.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes facility daily.
- Promotes best hygiene practices for self and children.
- Maintains daily tracking sheets - infant feeding, diaper changes, daily health checks.
- Other duties as assigned which could be directly related, or unrelated to the original position.
