What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Claims/Adjustment Clerk position at Jay R. Smith Mfg. Co.?
Review and follow up on customer complaints regarding account balances and uncredited items. Analyzes associated documents and makes the necessary adjustments to accounts and/or recommendations to resolve customer issues. Responsible for issuing credit for material returns and/or billing errors. Communicates results of findings to customer. Issue credit memos for approved debits. Enter debits and material return reports into the database. Follow up with sales representatives for debits and material returns; forward responses to Sales for final authorization.
Ability to use spreadsheets, word processing, email and other software applications.
Good math and written communication skills
Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
