We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient transportation of passengers while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires strong communication skills, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to providing excellent service. Whether you are driving a school bus, a shuttle, or a paratransit vehicle, your primary focus will be on the safety and comfort of your passengers.
- Responsibilities
- Operate buses or other vehicles safely and efficiently according to scheduled routes.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of passenger counts, routes, and any incidents that occur during transit.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding route changes or delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior as required.
- Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus driving.
- Proven experience in bus driving or shuttle driving is preferred; experience as a delivery driver or van driver is also beneficial.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Experience with school bus driving or paratransit services is highly desirable.
