Bus Driver

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers, including children and seniors, to their designated locations while ensuring a comfortable and secure environment. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle various driving situations.

• Duties
• Safely operate a bus or paratransit vehicle according to established routes and schedules.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Assist passengers in boarding and disembarking from the vehicle, particularly those with special needs or disabilities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bus interior.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, passengers, and other team members regarding any issues or changes in schedule.
• Provide assistance to children during school transport and ensure their safety throughout the journey.
• Keep accurate records of passenger counts, incidents, and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Skills
• Proficiency in English for effective communication with passengers and staff.
• Experience working with children or in senior care environments is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle.
• Previous experience in bus driving or commercial driving is preferred, especially with school buses or paratransit vehicles.
• Ability to drive safely under various weather conditions and traffic situations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with passengers of all ages and backgrounds.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during transport.

Pay : $18.50 - $23.00 per hour
