What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Skills Coach position at Jay's Legacy Youth Development Center?
As a life skills coach you work one on one with youth to help develop their independence, confidence, and build their life skills. Model how to do daily chores, personal hygiene, social interactions, money management and more to benefit the lives of the future. At the end of each session a short description is written of your day to help coworkers and parents understand the children we work with as well what can help benefit their learning process.
Life skills coaching requires having a professional attitude, the motivation to be a role model and patience to work with the youth we serve to better their ability to be a successful member of our future community. We train everyone for the role and have a monthly meeting to benefit our staff's ability to work with the youth we serve, and the on going education that is required to benefit the youth. Valid drivers license and high school diploma is required.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 25 per week
