Summary
The Finance & Insurance (F&I) Administrator is responsible for providing finance and insurance options to customers by verifying sales information, determining customers' needs for financing, evaluating customers' creditworthiness, preparing financing and legal documents relating to vehicle financing and insurance options, and establishing and maintaining excellent customer relations on behalf of Jay's Power Center. The F&I Administrator reports directly to the General Manager and is part of the Finance and Insurance team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Working with the General Manager and Sales Manager, the F&I Administrator identifies and establishes relationships with lenders and the dealership to set up finance and insurance options to offer to customers. The F&I Administrator regularly monitors and evaluates the performance of lending and insurance providers to ensure consistent service to customers.
- Works with sales team and customers to determine customer desire or need for unit financing and/or insurance, as well as explore available payment options.
- Reading and analyzing customer credit applications, matching lenders with customers, forwarding credit applications to lenders, conferring with underwriters and processors, and obtaining stipulations when required.
- Prepares and delivers all transaction documents to the customer, Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Natural Resources, sales department, service department, and accounting department.
- Confirms vehicle contract information by disclosing and explaining all loan provisions, finance charges, interest rates, and other financing and insurance conditions to customer and ensure customer's understanding.
- Sells products and services by understanding and reviewing the customers' needs/desires for vehicle insurance, credit insurance, extended warranties, other protection packages, vehicle add-ons, and other options and premiums.
- Maintains confidentiality of customer credit and other private information.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Required

- Excellent communication skills. In particular, the strong ability to explain complex concepts to a variety of customer audiences.
- Ability to work with computers, specifically software applications related to financial and insurance analysis.

- Must be willing to attend off-site training.
- Must be willing to work weekends and occasional off-site events.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 2-4 years of working knowledge in Finance and Insurance products.
Preferred
- Experience in F&I in a powersports or automobile environment highly desirable.
