Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team at the Pedal Center as a Pedal Center Specialist. Pedal Center is dedicated to providing top-quality service, expert diagnosis, and efficient repair solutions for all types of bicycles. As a Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and assistance with their biking needs. We are searching for a creative self-starter who wants to grow a business in the town of Reedsburg. Strong sales and mechanical ability are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
· Sales:
o Engage with customers to understand their biking requirements and preferences.
o Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various bicycles, accessories, and biking gear. o Assist customers in selecting the most suitable bicycles, accessories, and equipment based on their needs and budget.
o Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit, and other payment methods. o Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
· Diagnosis:
o Conduct thorough assessments and inspections of bicycles brought in by customers.
o Identify and diagnose mechanical issues, including but not limited to brake adjustments, gear tuning, wheel truing, and frame alignments.
o Consult with customers to understand the history of their bicycle and any specific concerns they may have.
o Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately pinpoint problems and recommend appropriate solutions.
· Repair and Maintenance:
o Perform bicycle repairs and maintenance tasks with precision and efficiency.
o Replace or repair damaged components such as chains, pedals, tires, tubes, brakes, and cables.
o Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed according to industry standards and manufacturer specifications.
o Test ride bicycles post-repair to verify performance and safety.
o Provide customers with detailed explanations of the work performed and offer recommendations for future maintenance.
· Customer service:
o Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and personalized assistance to all customers.
o Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
o Educate customers on proper bicycle care, maintenance, and safety practices.
o Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.
Qualifications:
o Previous experience in bicycle sales, repair, or maintenance preferred.
o Strong knowledge of bicycles, components, and accessories. o Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
o Customer-focused attitude with a passion for cycling.
o Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
o Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
o Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
