What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stihl Tech/Customer Service Specialist position at Jay's & Summit Ace Hardware?
GENERAL SUMMARY
Your responsibilities will include greeting customers, answering their questions, providing product information, and more. You will also assist in overseeing the Stihl department of the store by: stocking shelves, creating displays of merchandise, and helping to maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall cleanliness. You will be responsible for ordering Stihl parts and performing small engine repairs.
BENEFITS:
Team Members who work an average of 30 - 36 hours per week and have successfully completed six months of employment with the company will receive 20 hours of vacation per calendar year. Team Members who work an average of 30 hours per week or more will also get two paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Store Operations
Ensure a positive, professional, and safe work environment for all associates.
Work with Store Lead on all aspects of running the store.
Participate in scheduled staff meetings.
Communicate issues with the Store Lead.
Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
Assist with:
Receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
Maintaining back stock levels.
Providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
Ensure pricing is current throughout the store.
Customer Service
Provide a positive representation of Ace Hardware.
Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor, work well with customers as well as associates.
Ensure all radio pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
Assist customers throughout with personal, customized based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
Ensure all job-related calls, WhatsApp messages, texts, and emails are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
Implement the W.O.W.. process with â??every customer, every timeâ??.
Completion of assigned Ace Learning Place (ALP) classes are part of the training program
ALP Badge program is assigned to each team member; pay raises are attached to the completion of each badge.
Propane dispensing certification and forklift on-site training may be required as part of the Customer Service Specialist job responsibilities.
Stihl Small Engine Repair
Have experience in repairing small engines
Complete all required online Stihl training
Attend in-person Stihl training; will require travel
Be able to diagnosis a small engine issue
Be able to disassemble, repair, and reassemble components and machines
Be able to repair a small engine
Contact customers by phone, text or email
Schedule repairs in a timely manner
Be self motivated
Prepare cost estimates
