Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Manager to oversee our restaurant's operations and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves managing the front-of-house staff, coordinating with the kitchen team, and ensuring smooth operations during service hours.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the front-of-house team, including training and mentoring staff to provide excellent customer service.
  • Scheduling of all front-of-house staff.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen management to coordinate catering services and menu planning.
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow and satisfaction.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Maintain POS systems for accurate order processing and payment handling.
  • Monitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
  • Weekly monitoring and ordering of beer, wine and liquor.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance among staff.
  • Creative input for seasonal cocktail recipes and ideas.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff through effective training programs.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Familiarity with catering operations is a plus.
  • Proficient in using POS systems and other restaurant management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with guests and team members.
