ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/FUNCTIONS:
- Daily tracking of end-to-end international and domestic freight shipments for Traded Goods business: Booking Process > Coordinate Customs Brokerage > Arrival & Delivery Management > Shipment Invoicing
- Coordinate international shipments, including imports and exports
- Ensure import compliance and procedures are followed
- Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
- Preform invoicing tracking, document collection, and reviewal
- Performs required inventory transactions in the ERP (SAP) systems
- Perform receipts/production/shipping postings in customer ERP (SAP) systems.
- Pull reports from ERP system (SAP) and summarize data.
- Provide excellent communication to all interested parties regarding transport arrangements and status on a regular basis from departure to arrival of cargo
- Resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically, seeking input to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions
- Assist with capacity planning requirements
- Backup CSRs for on critical functions, documentation and order fulfillment
- Monitor, documentation collection, and assist with miscellaneous non-Traded Goods shipments
INTERNAL INTERACTIONS:
- Receive booking / loading /shipping information for tracking
- Provide daily report of shipments/inventory status
- Preform daily transactions in SAP
- Proved Proof of Delivery (POD)
- Assist with capacity planning requirements
- Provide daily report of shipments/inventory status
- Provide feedback on carriers & forwarders performance
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Excellent communication skills.
· Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks with a high level of organization.
· Ability to research, problem solve, take initiative, and lead within set parameters.
· Proven ability to adapt and manage effectively in fast paced changing environment
· Knowledge in domestic and international transportation preferred.
SKILLS:
- Ability to consistently demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, customers, colleagues, and supervisors in professional and constructive manner
- Planning and organizing multiple duties and coordinating multiple projects to meet timelines with limited direct supervision, with a high level of accuracy.
- Inventory management and logistics skills.
- Good organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. SAP experience preferred.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to compose clear and concise correspondence.
- Interpersonal and communication skills to maintain effective working relationships with others.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or another related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or industry experience is beneficial but not required.
