What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Medical Affairs Professional - Oncology Focus position at Jazz Pharmaceuticals?
We are seeking a skilled Medical Science Liaison, Oncology to join our team at Jazz Pharmaceuticals. As a member of our field-based team of scientists, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing professional relationships with medical thought leaders involved in product development.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Building and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare providers within the therapeutic area
Conducting market research and analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities
Developing and executing territory plans in alignment with US Medical Affairs plans
Providing scientific support for medical education activities such as on-site presentations, investigator meetings, national conferences, advisory boards, or regional meetings
You will also be responsible for:
Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of the therapy area, Jazz products, new and emerging areas of research, therapeutic issues, and trends
Establishing reputation as a trustworthy and knowledgeable source of scientific and medical information for the healthcare community
Supporting development of Jazz Pharmaceuticals positioning as the scientific authority in the therapeutic area
Acquiring a broad understanding of local and national protocols and standards of clinical practice and trends in disease management in the US
Providing clinical presentations and information in response to unsolicited questions in academic, community, and healthcare provider settings
Communicating emerging data and clinical experience with our products through scientific exchange and peer-to-peer interactions
Providing support for data generation activities such as company-sponsored studies, collaboration studies, and Investigator Sponsored Trials (IST)
This is a field-based position that requires:
An advanced degree (PharmD, MD, PhD or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years experience in the therapeutic area of interest
A license (RN, NP, CNP, PA or equivalent) with a minimum of a Masters Degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years experience in clinical practice
A minimum of 2 years experience as a MSL or comparable industry or clinical role is required
The ability to travel 60-70% time and live within 60 miles of a major airport
