As Executive Director, you'll be the face of the Chamber—building strong partnerships, driving member engagement, advocating for the business community, and leading a team that delivers impactful events and initiatives. Reporting to the Board of Directors, you'll manage operations, guide strategy, and champion economic development throughout Snohomish.

The Snohomish Chamber of Commerce is a dynamic, member-driven nonprofit committed to strengthening our community through economic development. Located just north of Seattle in the vibrant and historic City of Snohomish, we proudly serve over 300 business members and host well-known events like the Snohomish Wine Festival and Classic Car Display.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Chamber’s primary representative in the community and with key stakeholders
- Develop and execute strategies to grow and retain Chamber membership
- Plan and manage major Chamber events, including budgeting, promotion, and logistics
- Oversee daily operations, financial management, staff supervision, and volunteer coordination
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance the Chamber’s presence and member engagement.
- In collaboration with the Operation Manager overs Lead marketing and communications efforts, including social media, newsletters, and email campaigns.
- Build strategic partnerships with city officials, local businesses, schools, and nonprofits
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors on strategic planning and goal setting
- Work with the Finance team to prepare the annual budget and direct and controls expenditure of funds within the constraints of the approved budget.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure efficiency and alignment with organizational goals across all aspects of the chamber.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in nonprofit management, business development, economic development, or a related field with at least 3-5 years of experience. Experience managing a membership organization preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedural documents, and to present effectively to boards, staff, stakeholders, and the public.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, community partners, and the general public.
- Experience in event planning, fundraising, or community outreach.
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting and revenue development.
- Strong digital skills, including proficiency with computers, internet tools, and social media marketing.
- Passion for supporting small businesses and making a positive impact in the community.
- Knowledge of the Snohomish business environment is a plus.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid WA State driver’s license.
