Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee and complete fence installation for customers; with specific emphasis on commercial work.
- Understand how to read and interpret plans, drawings and schematics.
- Install various fencing types including chain link, ornamental iron, vinyl and cedar.
- Obtains fence bid and plans from Installation Manager and ask questions as needed.
- Obtains all materials and supplies for described job from storage facility and transport to jobsite.
- Drives truck to job site along with 1-2 laborers depending on job.
- Supervise and assist in preparation of fencing site; clearing brush if needed and removing old fencing (if applicable).
- Measure and lay out fence line, and use appropriate equipment (ex. Post hole digger, auger, rock bar or jackhammer, etc) to dig holes.
- Set metal, steel, vinyl or wooden post in post hole by prepping concrete, aligning and verifying trueness with a level. Follow up to complete job after concrete is set.
- Secure fence rails to post. Stretch or install fencing between posts and attach to frame. This includes cutting fencing material to size with wire cutters or saws. Assemble and install gates if needed.
- Accurately document labor hours for self and laborers. Document any changes to job.
- Travel throughout Puget Sound area to job sites.
- Professionally meet and greet customers while on job sites, telephone calls or contact.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date product knowledge on product lines carried by EFC.
- Clean and maintain work space, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with housekeeping, safety and company standards.
- Good time management and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to recognize and identify product both near and from distance
- Ability to recognize there is a problem or safety concern.
- Other duties as assigned.
