Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist

Job Summary:
The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards within JB Harris Transport LLC’s heavy equipment yard. This role ensures that all processes, equipment, and procedures comply with company and regulatory requirements while continuously improving quality control measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish, monitor, and enforce quality assurance standards across all equipment handling and maintenance operations.
• Conduct routine audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Develop and maintain quality control documentation, including inspection checklists, reports, and corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to address quality concerns and implement best practices.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards, procedures, and expectations.
• Investigate quality-related issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of quality assessments and compliance reports for internal and external audits.
• Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory changes to ensure JB Harris Transport LLC remains compliant with best practices.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and overall quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in the heavy equipment, transportation, or logistics industry.
• Strong understanding of quality control principles, inspection techniques, and industry regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in quality management systems, data tracking, and reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive process improvements.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to conduct on-site inspections in a heavy equipment yard environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
