Salary :
The Yard Associate will be responsible for the daily operations and maintenance of the heavy equipment yard. This role involves managing inventory, assisting with equipment logistics, and ensuring a clean and safe yard environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities :
- Equipment Handling and Management :
Load and unload heavy equipment using forklifts, cranes, and other machinery.
Assist in the inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment.Organize and store equipment and materials in designated areas.Inventory Management :Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
Maintain accurate records of equipment location and condition.Assist in the preparation and execution of physical inventory counts.Yard Maintenance :Ensure the yard is clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on the yard and equipment.Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment as required.Safety and Compliance :Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Yard Manager.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Customer Service :Assist customers and contractors with equipment pickup and drop-off.
Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries professionally.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.Previous experience in a yard or warehouse environment preferred.Ability to operate heavy machinery (forklifts, cranes) safely and efficiently.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Basic understanding of inventory management systems.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds.Valid driver's licenseWorking Conditions :
Outdoor work environment with exposure to various weather conditions.Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.Some overtime and weekend work can and will be required due to business demands.Benefits :
