About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and driven Construction Project Manager to join our growing team in Laytonsville, MD. This is a key role within our Construction division that requires a hands-on leader with strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding our company’s core values. This is an immediate position, but we’re committed to finding the right candidate who aligns with our standards and culture.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
- Review and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications to determine sequences of construction and coordinate material delivery schedules
Scheduling:
- Develop task duration schedules based on customer and project requirements; ensure timely completion of milestones by determining manpower and material delivery requirements
Material Management:
- Perform takeoffs using on-screen takeoff software, Planswift
- Coordinate procurement, calculation of quantities and order tracking, and delivery of materials, including Short Lead and Long Lead items as well as plant orders
- Manage budgets for material purchases and delivery
Communication and Documentation:
- Prepare and send requests for information (RFIs) and submittals; review responses
- Organize and maintain project data using electronic spreadsheets and logs (i.e. submittal and RFI logs)
- Prepare and submit change order proposals for modifications to project scope
Collaboration:
- Work closely with clients, vendors, and team members to ensure smooth project execution
Additional Duties:
- Other duties as assigned to the role
Required and Recommended Experience
- Knowledge of the landscape industry and/or construction industry
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings/plans
- Familiarity with on-screen takeoff software and/or CADD software preferred
- Experience with ProCore preferred
- Horticulture/landscape design knowledge preferred
- Background in safety training or protocols is preferred

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
