Description
Purpose: The VP of Sales will be a sales leader with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams. This position is a key leadership role that is responsible for establishing reliable forecasting of sales for the company as well as formulating and executing on strategies to attain sales targets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
- Team Management: Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing sales team. Provide strong guidance and mentorship for team members.
- Sales Execution: Lead the sales team to achieve and exceed sales quotas and revenue targets by customer and industry in growth and legacy markets.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and vendors. Focus on driving improvements in customer satisfaction.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and trends. Monitor competitive products and activities.
- Sales Process Adherence and Improvement:
- Continuously improve sales processes and methodologies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Enforce accountability around using structured sales process.
- Performance Management: Track and analyze sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Financial Management: Manage the sales budget and forecast revenue.
