A Fire Watch is a safety role that requires a certified individual to actively monitor a building or designated area for potential fire hazards. The person in this role must obtain the necessary certification (link to be provided later) before starting.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine patrols of the entire building every 30 minutes to identify any fire hazards, unsafe conditions, or potential risks.
- Maintain detailed written reports for each round, documenting observations, any actions taken, and confirming compliance with fire safety protocols.
- Stay vigilant for signs of smoke, fire, or other hazards, and take immediate action if an issue is detected.
- If any issues arise, immediately notify the designated contact person to ensure a prompt response.
- Ensure all fire safety equipment, such as fire extinguishers and alarms, are visible, accessible, and in good working condition.
This role is critical in preventing fire-related incidents and ensuring the safety of the building and its occupants.
