Job Summary:

We’re seeking a Logistics Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited by the opportunity to contribute directly to company growth. In this role, you'll proactively seek out new business opportunities, build lasting partnerships, and play a critical role in expanding our logistics network. Key Responsibilities:

• Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new customer and carrier opportunities using load boards (e.g., DAT, Transcore) and industry networks.
• Relationship Building: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with shippers, carriers, and partners to drive repeat business and uncover new opportunities.
• Revenue Generation: Negotiate competitive rates, close deals, and contribute directly to the company’s growth targets.
• Shipment Coordination: Manage the full logistics lifecycle — from quoting and booking to scheduling, tracking, and final delivery.
• Problem Solving: Take initiative to resolve shipment issues, turning challenges into opportunities to demonstrate value and reliability.
• Market Awareness: Stay sharp on industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions to spot emerging opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or freight brokerage with a track record of driving new business.
• Hands-on experience with DAT or Transcore load boards and TMS platforms like RoseRocket.
• Strong sales instincts with excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills.
• Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Exceptional communication, decision-making, and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree in logistics or business preferred).
