Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and designing packaging equipment and materials to ensure safe, convenient, and effective transportation of goods under various conditions.
- Analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to determine the most suitable packaging materials while maximizing convenience, utility, and function.
- Evaluating packaging and transportation methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Evaluating and recommending efficient packing procedures, new packaging material innovations, and the best sealing and fastening devices.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product design, supply chain, and manufacturing, to integrate packaging solutions into product development.
- Conducting testing and validation of packaging materials and designs to ensure durability and compliance with industry regulations.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities by optimizing packaging processes and material usage.
Qualifications:
- Degree required.
- Strong understanding of packaging design principles, materials, and transportation methods.
- Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications to develop effective packaging solutions.
- Knowledge of safety and quality compliance standards related to packaging.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with medical device packaging or highly regulated industries is a plus.
- Familiarity with packaging validation testing and industry standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM, ISO).
- Experience with CAD software for packaging design is preferred.
- Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and eco-friendly packaging solutions is a plus.
