Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting EU MDR execution and implementation for SNV products.
- Designing and developing best-in-class packaging and labeling solutions from early concept through commercialization.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and incorporating Voice of the Customer feedback to optimize packaging solutions.
- Developing packaging and labeling components that enhance the customer experience, collaborating with drafters to create 3D models and artwork.
- Demonstrating development life cycle knowledge through the delivery of high-quality design and verification deliverables.
- Working cross-functionally with quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, marketing, R&D device designers, supply chain, vendors, and kitting centers to ensure project success.
- Building quality into all aspects of product development by maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and leading process improvements.
- Supporting audits, addressing non-conformances, and participating in CAPAs as needed.
- Leading small-scale packaging and labeling projects or co-managing large-scale programs to drive portfolio-wide improvements.
- Mentoring and supervising technical staff as required.
- Managing a high and varied workload, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions while maintaining strong stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in Packaging, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrated experience in medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical packaging design and development is desired.
- Proven ability to resolve design and process-related packaging issues on commercial products.
- Functional knowledge of Design Controls and Industry Standards in Packaging Design and Testing (ISO 11607, ASTM, ISTA).
- Experience with database-driven labeling systems and development of labels and IFUs.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, interpretation, and communication of results to stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
- Strong technical and project management capabilities, ensuring assigned projects are completed on time and within budget.
