Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Traveling Project Superintendent to oversee construction projects in the retail and industrial sector from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective management of resources, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality control standards.
- Oversee project scheduling and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate implementation of project specifications.
- Utilize software tools such as Plangrid, Raken, and Microsoft Office for project management, tracking budgets, contracts, and schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and address any issues that arise during construction.
- Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work is performed according to contract specifications while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Implement effective quality control measures throughout the construction process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Superintendent or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, specifically for large retail and industrial projects.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with project management software is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership capabilities with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
