We are seeking an experienced Traveling Commercial/Retail Concrete Superintendent to oversee concrete construction operations for our commercial/retail projects across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality standards and safety regulations. This role requires extensive travel, strong leadership and communication skills, and deep expertise in commercial/retail concrete work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Management: Oversee and coordinate all phases of concrete construction for retail sites, from preparation to completion.
• On-Site Supervision: Direct subcontractors and crews to ensure efficient work practices, quality control, and adherence to schedules.
• Quality Control: Ensure all concrete work meets company, client, and industry standards.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate deliveries, and align tasks with project milestones.
• Communication: Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for owners, project managers, clients, and subcontractors, providing regular progress reports.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to site conditions, crew performance, or materials.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, change orders, inspections, and project progress.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in concrete construction supervision preferred, with a focus on commercial/retail projects. We are willing to train candidates with at least 4 years of foreman level experience.
• Travel: Willingness to travel extensively and stay on-site for the duration of each project.
• Knowledge: Proficiency in reading blueprints, understanding concrete mix designs, formwork systems, and placement techniques.
• Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Certifications: Any OSHA training, ACI certifications, CDL, etc. are a plus.
• Technical Tools: Familiarity with project management software and scheduling tools.
