Purpose & Scope :
This position is responsible for transporting animal loads as scheduled while following our biosecurity protocols. Purpose & Scope : This position is responsible for transporting animal loads as scheduled while following our biosecurity protocols.
Principle Responsibilities :
90% - Livestock movements : loading and unloading swine
- 10% - Other duties as assigned (feed haul, moving equipment,
- Communication with various departments
Travel : Local travel approx. 30 mile local farm radius
Required Qualifications :
Valid Non-Expired Class A CDL
- Live haul experience preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Lift / Carry heavy objects approximately 60lbs
- Constant walking, bending, pushing, pulling
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently
- Be a team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethics
- Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
Preferred Skills :
1 year driving experience preferred
- Animal handling experience preferred but not required; will provide training
- Ability to work in tight spaces; trailer compartment
