Nature of Position:
The primary function of this position is to manage the execution and costs associated with feed orders, feed deliveries and feed movements associated with feeding JBS Live Pork pigs. This person serves as the liaison and contact point between nutritional services, feed operations, (internal and toll mills), and producers or field staff. Additionally, this person will assist in any special projects that may be asked with regard to this area of feed operations.
Essential Functions:
- Assist the Director and other Feed Managers in maintaining the feed management system that manages the feeding plans for over 6 million market pigs annually.
- Process, correct, and place feed orders into the feed management system.
- Interact with employee farms, contract producers, field and office staff to help resolve issues, place/modify feed orders, and generate feed production reports.
- Investigate issues and seek out resolutions to problems when they are found.
- Collect, organize, and analyze data to improve the application of feeding plans.
- Stay current with updates and newly released features of the feed and production management software.
- Manage feed deliveries between producers and all mills (internal and toll).
- Solve feed related issues as it pertains to delivery and execution of the JBS Nutrition Program.
- Responsible for managing feed delivery disturbances and associated costs.
- Responsible for minimizing delivery costs and distances between mills and production sites.

Required Qualifications:
- Extremely proficient in IT systems, specifically in agriculture.
- Extremely proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to be available during non-typical business hours to assist IT users.
- Works well in a team setting, but also able to work alone.
- Ability to travel if needed to assist users.
- Strong ability to network with outside experts in ag technology systems.
- Strong desire and passion for developing solutions within a pork production system.
- Must be self-driven, and self-motivated, and comfortable with limited daily direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- A.S. or B.S. in either Information Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Animal Sciences, Mathematics or other related fields.
- Prior experience with production software in a livestock operation.
Travel: 5%, typically 2-3 times per year
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
