Purpose & Scope
This position is responsible for transporting animal loads as scheduled while following our biosecurity protocols. Purpose & Scope : This position is responsible for transporting animal loads as scheduled while following our biosecurity protocols.
Principle Responsibilities
90% - Livestock movements : loading and unloading swine- 10% - Other duties as assigned (feed haul, moving equipment, etc.)- Communication with various departments
Travel :
Local travel - approx. 30 mile local farm radius
Required Qualifications
Valid Non-Expired Class A CDL- Live haul experience preferred, but not required- Strong communication and listening skills- Lift / Carry heavy objects approximately 60lbs- Constant walking, bending, pushing, pulling- Demonstrated ability to solve problems and make decisions independently- Be a team oriented, self-motivated and positive individual with strong work ethics- Ability to efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions
Preferred Skills
1 year driving experience preferred- Animal handling experience preferred but not required; will provide training- Ability to work in tight spaces; trailer compartmentThe applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following
